As I mentioned earlier, there are two types of baju Melayu which are
Baju Melayu Cekak Musang and Baju Melayu Teluk Belanga...

Baju Melayu Cekak Musang

This term is related with the spiral pattern collar whereas it has high-neck. Additionally, its also refer to the collar which has 2.5cm high all around the neck. Baju Melayu Cekak Musang was wore in Johor during the administration of Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Sultan Abu Bakar. Usually, this type of Baju Melayu popularized in middle and north of Malaysia. The way of wearing sampin with baju Melayu Cekak Musang is also different. This is because usually, sampin is wearing outside of the cloth itself. This was shown by the model below.

 Baju Teluk Belanga

However, the pattern of Baju Melayu Teluk Belanga is focused on the neck of the cloth that was been sew using embroidery. There are variety of embroidery of Baju Melayu Teluk Belanga which are Mata Lalat, Tulang Belut and many more.

With the influx of foreigners to Malacca, they also brought with them their own fashion styles.
